Tara started at the Student Health Center in the summer of 2011. She completed her Bachelor of Science in Nursing at Pacific Lutheran University in 1993 and worked as an RN in the ICU for the next 12 years. In 2006, she received her Master of Nursing from the University of Washington with an emphasis in infectious disease and is board certified through AANP as an Adult Registered Nurse Practitioner. Prior to joining the team at the SHC, her experience was in outpatient clinics with a focus on wellness in young adults and reproductive health. Tara stepped into the role as Director of the SHC in the fall of 2017. Outside of the clinic, she enjoys watching soccer, reading, going on trips, and spending time with her husband and two daughters.

Gabriella grew up in the Central District and has worked as a nurse in the greater Seattle area since 2008.  Working her way from a CNA to RN to Nurse Manager, she is a self-proclaimed healthcare nerd and primary care enthusiast. She comes with a wealth of ambulatory care experience within the framework of the Patient Centered Medical Home Model of care.  Gabrielle believes that access to high quality primary care is foundational not just to the health of the individual but also the health of a community. She is passionate about making a positive imprint in how primary care is delivered and is excited about partnering with you and the Student Health Center team in enhancing patient access to evidenced based individualized care.

Chuy started at the Student Health Center in the fall of 2017. Their education includes a BA from The Evergreen State College and studying Latin American history at The University of Texas at Austin (where he acquired a love of breakfast tacos and Texas-style BBQ). Chuy has worked at Children’s Hospital, Fred Hutch and the Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation. Personal interests include watching & discussing movies, frequenting coffee houses, reading Man Booker prize winning novels, spending time with their large family, listening to music, traveling and being in nature.
