Radiation Cans

Fill these cans with water to the same level in all three cans and place a thermometer in each such that the sensitive end is submerged. Place all three around the heat lamp and observe the change in temperature in each can. The black one will change the most and the white one the least. This is due to the effect of color on heat absorption and radiation. Darker colors heat and cool faster than lighter colors.
