Thanks to Pat Howell, S.J., of the Institute for Catholic Thought and Culture, for capturing this photo as excavation began on the new 1107 E. Madison St. Student Housing Project.
The building will encompass ten stories, providing eight floors of additional student housing and two floors of space to consolidate student enrollment services. The university is partnering with a private developer, Capstone Development Partners to finance, design, build, operate and maintain the building. Construction is scheduled to be completed for fall quarter of 2018. More than 300 new beds of housing will be available for junior and senior students.
