Beta Alpha Psi is an honorary and professional organization for students of accountancy. Founded in 1919, Beta Alpha Psi is an honor organization for financial information students and professionals. There are over 300 chapters on college and university campuses with over 300,000 members initiated since Beta Alpha Psi's formation. The Delta Eta chapter (Seattle University) was founded in 1977. The chapter has been recognized as a Superior Chapter for the past 14 years and as a Gold Chapter for the past four years.
The primary objective of Beta Alpha Psi is to encourage and give recognition to scholastic and professional excellence in the business information field.
We strive to achieve our objectives through professional speakers, workshops, community service, team building, and competitions organized by the national executive office. The first step is initiation into Beta Alpha Psi, which is the result of two quarters fulfilling membership requirement. Eligibility is based on an hours system. Once you become a member, you take on a leadership role in the chapter mentoring incoming candidates.
