Bonnie Buchanan has been appointed the Howard J. Bosanko Endowed Professorship in International Economics and Finance for 2016-2019. She is also the director of the Master of Science in Finance program and formerly served as director of the Professional MBA program at Seattle University.
Professor Buchanan has published in the American Business Law Journal, Journal of Business Ethics as well as Review of Quantitative Finance and Accounting and International Review of Financial Analysis. Her research interests include securitization, law and finance, emerging markets, and corporate governance. Her co-authored work on shareholder proposals has been used in deliberations at the Security and Exchange Commission and cited in the Financial Times. She is the Editor in Chief of Journal of Risk Finance, Associate Editor of Research in International Business and Finance and on the Editorial Advisory Board of Review in Behavioral Finance.
