Background

Job Description

As a freelance project manager, concert and festival producers hire me to manage different operational aspects of their events including overall event management, site operations management, and perimeter operations management. Some of my roles have included Event Director for Re:SET Nashville, a 3-day outdoor concert series produced and promoted by AEG Presents; Operations Manager for the inaugural Catbird Music Festival in Bethel, NY; and most recently I have taken on project management roles with Pilgrimage Music & Cultural Festival in Franklin, TN, Bourbon and Beyond in Louisville, KY, and Aftershock Festival in Sacramento, CA. While most roles have their own unique attributes, many of their shared responsibilities include managing both advance and onsite teams, third-party vendor selection and contract negotiations, and budget tracking and management.

Company Description

As a freelance project manager, I have worked with many of the largest players in the concert industry including Live Nation/C3 Presents, AEG Presents, and Danny Wimmer Presents.

Mentoring Objectives & Scope

As an independent contractor, one of my greatest strengths is networking. I would love to work with someone who is looking to work in the live concert and event industry so I can introduce them to different players in the industry, show them the power of networking, and the importance of adaptability and critical thinking to be successful in a fast-moving industry.

When and where do you hold meetings with your students?

100% virtual. Tuesday - Thursday is best. Being in Nashville, I'm 2-hours ahead of Seattle, so I think after 11am CT is best.
