I am the founder of the anthropology program here at Seattle University and have taught in it for over 25 years. I specialize in Indigenous People and Religions of North America. In addition to teaching courses in Shamanism, Human Rights, and other cultural studies relating to Indigenous and First Nations People I also teach courses in human origins and evolution as well as archaeology. I have published books on Cultural Memory, Indigenous Resistance to Colonization, and numerous articles and chapter contributions on anthropological subjects.
