Transfer Student Orientation
Transfer Student Orientation is Wednesday, August 12, 2026.
Transfer Student Orientation is a required, in-person experience for new transfer students to join us on campus to learn about essential campus resources and find your flock of new friends. Students are encouraged to have their parents, family, and supporters sign up to attend as well! This event is designed to help you be prepared to start classes in the Fall.
- Students: Log into your Orientation Portal and click on the “Orientation Events” tab. There is no fee for SU students to attend Transfer Student Orientation. The cost of this program is included in the Orientation Fee that is part of your first term bill.
- Guests: After students sign up to attend Redhawk Launch, they can add up to 2 guests to their RSVP.
- We strongly encourage students to bring at least 1 guest (e.g., a parent or family member) to Transfer Student Orientation. Guest orientation sessions are designed to equip your closest supporters with the knowledge and context they need to support students throughout their transition to college.
A Guest is anyone who is not an incoming, new Seattle University student. Parents, family members, friends, and supporters are all considered guests. Please note Redhawk Launch may not be an appropriate environment for young children.
GUEST SESSIONS
Students and Guests attend most sessions separately. Guest sessions are designed to equip a student's closest supporters with the knowledge and context they need to support students throughout their transition to college. You can see an example of the guest schedule by scrolling down this page to "Sample Transfer Student Orientation Guest Schedule." Guests cannot join their student to attend student sessions.
GUEST FEES
- There is a $55 fee for each guest who attends Transfer Student Orientation, which covers meals and program supplies. Overnight housing is not provided for Guests.

- The deadline for students and guests to RSVP for Transfer Student Orientation is Friday, July 31, 2026.
