Closed Course Procedure
Generally speaking, if a UCOR class shows as closed on mySeattleU, we are not able to overload you into that particular section, but we can help you find an alternative. Advisors in your school or college advising center (listed below) can assist you. You can also contact the Core office in person (ADMN 120) or via email at core@seattleu.edu and we will respond to you during regular business hours (Monday through Friday, 8:00 a.m. - 4:30 p.m.).
Please note that all requests to be added to UCOR 2910 need to be directed to the Albers Advising Center at albers_ug-advising@seattleu.edu as Core does not manage these seats.
Winter Quarter 2025 Online Asynchronous Courses
At this point, almost all online asynchronous UCOR courses are full with a waitlist. We are no longer taking requests for these unless your situation is a medical emergency. If you are experiencing a medical emergency, please email us at core@seattleu.edu with:
- Your student ID number
- Which UCOR online section(s) you wish to be considered for
- The reason for your request
- Which class you wish to drop if your request is approved
If a space becomes available, we will contact you. We urge you to sign up for an alternative class as we cannot guarantee a space will open.
Advising Center within your School/College
For assistance outside of regular Core drop-in hours, students should work with the Advising Center within their College. These professional advising teams also have access to the necessary information required for registering students in closed Core courses.
