Support Financial Aid Restoration for In-State Students
The State Senate Ways & Means Committee hearing is tomorrow for SB 5828, which restores funding for students from low-income families attending private, nonprofit universities in the state. We need as many signatures as possible.
How to Help:
Deadline: Friday, Feb. 6, at noon
Step 1: Visit the Committee sign-in page for SB 5828 and select “Pro” for your position and complete the required fields.
Step 2: Click Submit Registration.

Help hold the Legislature to its promise to increase college access for in-state students from low-income families. HB 2567 restores funding that was reduced last session for students attending private, nonprofit universities in the state. We need as many signatures as possible before the committee hearing!
Follow these steps:
Deadline: Tuesday, Feb. 3, at noon
1. Visit the House Committee Sign In page.
2. Under Select agenda item, click on HB 2567 College scholarships/private.
3. Under Select type of testimony, click on I would like my position noted for the legislative record.
4. Complete the required fields:
• Select “Pro” for your position.
• Optional: Identify your affiliation in the Organization box.
• Click I’m not a robot, then click Submit Registration.
