There are so many ways for the Seattle University community to get involved. Students can pack their bags for transformative research or English teaching assistantships abroad. Faculty and administrators can apply for lecturing, research, or short-term specialist projects. Plus, SU can host visiting international scholars, bringing vibrant global perspectives right into our campus classrooms.

For Students and Alumni
Thinking about going abroad after graduation? Fulbright offers two main options:
- Study/Research grants to pursue an independent project or academic study, and
- English Teaching Assistantships (ETA) to support English language instruction abroad
Over the past 5 years, Seattle University has supported 33 applicants, including 8 semi-finalists, 3 alternates, and 8 awardees.

For Faculty
Opportunities for scholars, artists, and professionals at all career stages across more than 135 countries, with programs ranging from short-term to longer-term experiences. Award benefits vary by country and program and include support for travel and in-country living expenses for recipients and, in some cases, accompanying dependents.

Host a Visiting Scholar
Seattle University welcomes international scholars to join our campus for a semester or full academic year. Visiting scholars enrich our community by teaching courses, contributing to curriculum development, delivering guest lectures, strengthening exchange partnerships, and engaging with both campus and the broader community.
