Business, Law and Nursing programs among the best in latest U.S. News rankings.

The Albers School of Business and Economics, the College of Nursing and the Seattle University School of Law landed eight of their programs in the Top 25 of the latest U.S. News & World Report “Best Graduate School” rankings. In all, more than a dozen programs at SU were noted by U.S. News as among the best in the nation.

“While rankings are only one metric, and an imperfect one at that, these rankings do represent external recognition of the excellence of Seattle University and prospective students pay close attention to them,” says President Eduardo Peñalver. “We are proud to see our superb graduate and professional programs receive the recognition we know they deserve.”

Albers’ Part-Time MBA program was also ranked 60th.

“We are honored to be recognized as having some of the best business programs in the Pacific Northwest and across the nation,” says Albers Dean Joseph Phillips. “Our faculty and staff are laser focused on the success of our students and pursuing the SU mission of educating the whole person to professional formation and empowering the next generation of business leaders for a just and humane world.”

In addition to the 22nd ranking for the College of Nursing’s Nurse-Midwifery DNP specialization, its Doctor of Nursing Practice ranked 45th nationally.

“This year’s ranking is a tremendous achievement for our college,” says College of Nursing Dean Butch de Castro. “We take pride in graduating not just competent clinicians who master practice standards, but also compassionate care providers inspired by Seattle University’s Jesuit tradition. Our College of Nursing will certainly continue to strive for this upward trajectory in reputation and recognition.”

U.S. News is still gathering information before releasing additional graduate school rankings for Best Engineering Schools and Best Clinical Psychology Programs, among others.
