Seattle University Alumni Awards Honor Accomplished Professionals, Leaders

Seattle University is dedicated to educating the whole person, to professional formation, and to empowering leaders for a just and humane world.

On Friday, the SU Alumni Association will honor esteemed graduates at the 36th annual alumni awards ceremony, February 10, 5:30 - 9:30 p.m. at PACCAR Atrium/Pigott Auditorium.

Five of the awardees will be recognized for demonstrating exceptional leadership, service to the university and community, a commitment to care, academic excellence, diversity, justice and alignment with SU’s Jesuit values. Two additional alums will be inducted into the SU Athletic Hall of Fame during the event. 

“Our Redhawk alumni community passionately approaches life through the lens of service and social justice,” says Ellen Whitlock Baker, assistant vice president for Alumni Engagement. “We celebrate these seven individuals who have accomplished so much and embody SU's Jesuit values in their communities and professions and I can't wait to see all that our alumni community will continue to accomplish.”

This year's Alumni Award winners include:

Alumna of the Year: Ana White, ’95, College of Science and Engineering

  • Executive Vice President and Chief People Officer, F5

Outstanding Recent Alumnus: Archie Roundtree, Jr., ’18 JD, School of Law

  • Staff Attorney, Justice in Aging

University Service: Mary Ann Goto, ’79, College of Arts and Sciences

  • Annual Events and Donor Engagement, Asian Counseling and Referral Service

Professional Achievement: Rolita Flores Ezeonu, ’06 EdD, College of Education

  • Vice President of Instruction, Green River College

Community Service: Tom Roach, ’71, College of Arts and Sciences

Athletic Hall of Fame

Stephanie Verdoia, ’15, Women's Soccer

Kyle Bjornethun, ’21, Men's Soccer
