AI Advancement Across Disciplines

The advent of Artificial Intelligence disrupts society at multiple points across every discipline.  Disruptions across society also impact how we render meaning about our humanity by asking questions such as: What are the specific challenges we encounter, and what are the implications for our humanity going forward?

We welcome Ben Olsen, who advises locally to internationally on AI realities, ethics, and faith, to engage our community in conversation.

🗓️ Date: Feb. 3, 2026, 12:15 - 1:15 PM
🌐 Location: Sinegal Center for Science and Innovation, 200

RoundTable Method

A Roundtable Method is an intentional and integrated network that draws upon the principle at CEIE of convening capacity, which is a signature principle at CEIE: We convene.

Convening always involves a network of kinds of convenings, which we are calling ‘roundtables.’ That may seem confusing, in that the superstructure ‘Roundtable’ includes numerous specific ‘roundtables.’ Our work will be important to alleviating confusion and growing engagement.

Forthcoming RoundTables

Jewish-Christian Dialogue

Our recent roundtable surfaced pressing concerns: the erosion of a moral voice, the misuse of religion, and the need to reinvigorate moral imagination and unity across faith traditions.

These conversations also revealed a long-standing gap in Jewish–Christian dialogue in the Pacific Northwest. This March, we continue the work of bringing Jewish and Christian voices back into conversation.

Next Jewish-Christian Dialogue Roundtable Meeting: Wednesday, March 4th, 2026, 3:00-5:00 PM at CEIE.  Interested? Email ceie@seattleu.edu

Women's Circle

Rooted in women’s ministry, advocacy, and leadership development, the Women's Circle Roundtable uplifted grassroots women and those most impacted by injustice as vital leaders and sources of solutions.

Held in the spirit of the Green Tent Circle, this work continues to unfold.  Interested? Email ceie@seattleu.edu
