Job Description
I am a global safety program professional with over five years at Amazon. I develop and execute programs that strengthen safety systems across Amazon's global network of fulfillment centers, sort centers, delivery stations, and transportation operations spanning more than two dozen countries. I partner with field teams and central leadership to reduce workplace risk, drive process improvements, and build a culture of safety for associates worldwide.
Company Description
Amazon operates a global network of fulfillment centers, sort centers, delivery stations, and retail stores, supported by transportation services spanning more than two dozen countries. Serving over 1.6 million associates worldwide, Amazon's Workplace Health and Safety (WHS) organization stands as the company's first priority, deploying dedicated safety professionals across all operations to prevent injury, protect people, and build the world's safest workplace.
Employment History
I've built my career blending operational excellence with emotional intelligence to drive extraordinary results. I spent nearly two decades in aerospace, leading design, engineering, and certification programs for Airbus, Boeing and airlines such as ANA, Emirates, Qatar and Singapore.
I joined Amazon over five years ago, where I now work as a global safety program professional, reducing workplace risk and building a culture of safety for associates across two dozen countries.
On the side, through Coach Jacobs, I mentor emerging leaders. I'm also a Neurocolors certified consultant and trainer. My belief: success lives at the intersection of data and humanity, and empathy is a technical leader's greatest tool.
Education
BSEET, Western Washington University
MBA, Seattle University
Certificates in Leadership Development and Entrepreneurship
Mentoring Objectives & Scope
Beyond my career, I'm driven by people and building cultures where everyone can thrive. As a proud Washington State native with an MBA from Seattle University, I've spent years mentoring emerging leaders, including as a longtime volunteer and coach with Future Business Leaders of America. As your mentor, I'll help you sharpen both the technical skills that get you noticed and the emotional intelligence that makes you a leader.
Students will get the most from my mentorship if you're reliable, eager, and committed to your own growth.
As a mentor, I can support students in the following:
- Resume review, interview prep, LinkedIn branding
- Student transition from college to first professional role
- Improved communication and interpersonal skills
- Development of leadership skills, confidence, and executive presence
- Expanding a network, building connection, navigating an organization
- Developing and growing emotional intelligence, leading by influence
When and where do you hold meetings with your students?
Hybrid (mix of in-person and virtual) As close to 100% in person as possible.
Weekday times in-person on the Amazon Seattle campus and on the Seattle U campus.
Additional Information
I offer a safe, confidential space to reflect, think out loud, and grow. Come as you are, no polished version required. I'd rather get to know the real you, celebrate your wins, and remind you that we learn more when things go wrong than when they go right. My goal is to build your confidence, foster a growth mindset, and share perspectives on life beyond college, helping you discover that empathy and high emotional intelligence are your greatest tools.
