Job Description

Currently I work in cost recovery, where I analyze the financial impact of supplier-related issues, such as late or incorrect parts. I collaborate with Finance, Contracts, Supply Chain, Engineering, and Production to gather information, data, calculate costs associated with the disruption case, and prepare claims so Boeing can recover those costs from suppliers. I also help communicate the financial impact and status of recovery efforts to leadership.

Employment History

After earning my bachelor's degree, I spent four years in the nonprofit mental health sector as a social worker, helping individuals and families experiencing homelessness secure stable housing. I then transitioned to Costco Wholesale, where I held a variety of roles across warehouse operations, the LA Regional Office, and Corporate. My work included procurement, buying, accounting, and finance, providing broad exposure to multiple areas of the business. Currently, I serve as a Financial Analyst at Boeing on the Estimating team, where I specialize in cost recovery and financial analysis.

Mentoring Objectives & Scope

My goal as a mentor is to create a comfortable, safe, and supportive space where students can ask questions, explore their career interests, and gain confidence as they navigate the beginning of their professional journey.

I hope to share what I’ve learned from my own career experiences, including transitioning into different industries and roles, while reminding students that it is okay if their career path is not always straightforward, as mine has pivoted a couple of times.

I also hope to help students strengthen their networking and professional skills, learn from both successes and challenges, and feel more prepared to take the next step in their careers.
