Shaun is a Senior Trial Attorney in the Environment and Natural Resources Division (ENRD) of the U.S. Department of Justice.  He defends federal agencies such as the Forest Service, Bureau of Land Management, and Army Corps of Engineers in federal district courts throughout the country.  These cases arise under a variety of statutes, including the Administrative Procedure Act, National Environmental Policy Act, National Forest Management Act, and Federal Land Policy and Management Act.

Shaun previously worked as a trial attorney in the Civil Division of the U.S. Department of Justice, investigating and litigating cases under the False Claims Act.  Before that, Shaun clerked for the Honorable David S. Doty and the Honorable Joan N. Ericksen on the U.S. District Court for the District of Minnesota.  Shaun holds a law degree from the University of Minnesota and undergraduate degrees in psychology and sociology from the University of Utah.
