Music Lessons

The Performing Arts and Arts Leadership department offers one-on-one instruction in voice, piano, guitar, and string instruments (violin, viola, cello). For one or two credits per quarter, students hone their skills in weekly sessions. Priority registration is given to music majors but any student may apply.

Students interested in registering for private music lessons should register for a lesson.  They will be put on a wait list.  Students then must complete and submit a Music Lesson Scheduling Form. Private lesson instructors will review your application and make decisions during the first week of classes. You will then be moved from the wait list into the course.

The instructor will contact students to schedule lessons during the first week of the quarter and it is their responsibility to confirm the lesson time with the instructor AND confirm that they are registered for the correct number of credits on the Friday before the last day to Add/Drop. Students who do not contact the instructor to confirm their lessons may be required to pay a $50 late add fee and/or may be dropped.

1 Credit = 30 minute lesson/week; 2 Credits = 1 hour lesson/week
There is an additional fee of $95 per credit which will be automatically added to your tuition bill.

IMPORTANT: Do not complete the Scheduling Form until you have finished registering for the rest of your classes – you will need to know your class schedule before arranging for lessons.
