Expand Your Practice into Psychiatric Mental Health Care
Seattle University’s Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner (PMHNP) Post-Doctoral Certificate is designed for DNP-prepared nurse practitioners who want to expand their scope of practice into psychiatric and mental health care. Through a focused curriculum, you’ll develop specialized expertise to assess, diagnose and treat mental health and substance use disorders in children, adolescents, adults and older adults.
Rooted in Seattle University’s commitment to compassionate, values-driven health care, the PMHNP certificate integrates mental health and addictions treatment across community, primary care, hospital and outpatient settings. You’ll build on your existing advanced practice experience while developing the specialized knowledge and skills needed to address complex mental health needs, reduce disparities in care and expand access to high-quality services.
