Program Summary

Alicante is a beautiful, historic Mediterranean city overlooked by the magnificent Castle of Santa Barbara. Gorgeous sandy beaches, sunny weather, lovely monuments, and rich history and culture make Alicante a top destination in Spain. In Alicante, you will experience the lively atmosphere of the Mediterranean lifestyle and you will love the busy plazas, street markets, and local festivities. As a middle-sized city, with centrally located housing and inexpensive cost of living, you will still be able to bump into your friends in the streets. Also, the high-speed train and the international airport provide unique opportunities to travel in Spain and all over Europe. You will study in one of the most beautiful campuses in Spain and the USAC Alicante program will allow you to complete up to two years of Spanish study in one semester and will provide you with many opportunities in an authentic environment.

  1. Complete Module I of Global Engagement with Education Abroad Canvas course, including Education Abroad 101 and attending a Planning Meeting with your Education Advisor.
  2. Complete the SU-Sponsored/SU-Exchange Program Application in Module II of the Canvas course by February 1 for selected program.
