Reigniting Our Strategic Directions Extended to January 2028
Our strategic plan, A Jesuit University of Distinction for a Time of Change: Reigniting Our Strategic Directions, 2022-2027 (RSD), has been instrumental to the momentum and progress we have been able to make these past several years as a campus community.
Dear Faculty and Staff,
First, I’d like to thank everyone for welcoming me into this interim role. I am enjoying the opportunity to reengage with many of you and get to know others. I appreciate all your efforts on behalf of Seattle University as we move forward together on a number of important initiatives and prepare to welcome our next president.
Our strategic plan, A Jesuit University of Distinction for a Time of Change: Reigniting Our Strategic Directions, 2022-2027 (RSD), has been instrumental to the momentum and progress we have been able to make these past several years as a campus community. These efforts and accomplishments were shared with the Board of Trustees at their meeting in March, and the RSD Report Card can be found on the Redhawk Hub RSD website.
During the Board meeting, leadership also updated the Trustees on major initiatives more recently added to the strategic plan, including the integration of Cornish College of the Arts, delivery of Workday, and transition to a unified academic calendar. As each of these initiatives extend through 2027, the Board approved an extension of Reigniting Our Strategic Directions from January 2027 to January 2028.
As we continue to make strides on these key priorities for the university, we have much to celebrate. The broad and meaningful progress already made toward the goals of our strategic plan will be highlighted in an RSD report from the Office of Strategic Initiatives this fall. Thank you for your part in making this possible as well as your commitment to Seattle University’s future, its mission, and especially our students.
Sincerely,
Stephen V. Sundborg, S.J.
