In Memoriam

A photo of Pat Lesser Harbottle playing golf

Pat Lesser Harbottle was a golf legend recognized in the Seattle University Athletics Hall of Fame, the Pacific Northwest Golf Hall of Fame and the Washington State Sports Hall of Fame. Lesser Harbottle found her talent for golf playing with her father, Colonel Lesser. A 17-year-old Lesser Harbottle was fresh off a tied fourth place finish in the 1951 U.S. Women’s Open when deciding where to attend college with hopes of playing golf.

A portrait of Father Anderson

Dave Anderson, S.J., was well-known and beloved by the campus and greater community for his warmth, empathy and gentle nature. Father Anderson served for 17 years as Seattle University’s chaplain for alumni and for many of those years also as chaplain for the men’s basketball program. Always a caring presence, often greeting friends and strangers alike with a broad smile, Fr. Anderson was deeply beloved by colleagues, alumni and all with whom he came in contact.
