Brian Taberski_CV

Dr. Taberski was appointed a Lecturer at Seattle University in Fall 2020 after serving as an adjunct instructor for three years at SU. Prior to his appointment,  Dr. Taberski worked in K-12 Catholic Schools and a non-profit organization focused on educational access and participation. His roles included Department Chair, Teacher, and Director. He also has served on the boards of several community organizations committed to the work of social justice and reconciliation.

Research and Teaching Interests

Dr. Taberski’s research and teaching interests reflect his experience of and commitment to Catholic and Jesuit education. Employing a research lens situated in the intersectionality of pastoral theology, organizational theory, and organizational change frameworks, Dr. Taberski explores the culture, paradigms, and pedagogies of schools and other organizations. His work in leadership education pays special attention to leadership formation, with a focus on the personal skills necessary to effectively lead organizations. Both of these meta-research interests ultimately serve as the contexts in which Dr. Taberski explores adaptive challenge and change and helps organizations, schools, and leaders develop meaningful ways to address their needs.
