The Bachelor of Arts in Public Affairs curriculum is designed so that our students will achieve the following objectives:
Understand the interface of public affairs theory, policy development and its application to service for a more just and humane world
Empower the student with the tools needed for community leadership including the ability to work with diverse persons/people and appreciate different perspectives
Develop critical thinking, research skills and effective writing to shape public policy development and analysis
Demonstrate the ability to work with others to translate public need into public policy and planning
Develop human and financial management skills
The Nonprofit and Public Administration Minor curriculum is designed so that our students will achieve the following objectives:
A working knowledge of the public, nonprofit and philanthropic sectors
Preparedness to more effectively contribute to society as an active and engaged citizen locally and globally
