Psi Chi

 

What are we:

Psi Chi is an international honor society whose purpose shall be to encourage, stimulate, and maintain excellence in scholarship of the individual members in all fields, particularly in psychology, and to advance the science of psychology.

Why to join: 

  1. We encourage members to conduct exemplary research, disseminate and apply research findings, and maintain a lifelong interest in exploring the field of psychology. 
  2. We provide information and opportunities to enhance members' professional and personal lives. 
  3. We foster a vibrant and meaningful environment for the Seattle U chapter and all of its members to contribute to and  benefit from continued engagement.

How to apply: 

Go to www.psichi.org/?page=JoinToday and print your completed application. Application fee is $65 (add $22 if you want an honor cord for graduation), payable to Seattle University via check. Bring your application to the Psychology Department front desk in Harding 140.

Eligibility: 

  1. Undergraduate Students shall be enrolled in Seattle University, have registered for major or minor standing in psychology or for a program psychological in nature which is equivalent to such standings, have completed at least 5 quarters of the college course, have completed 14 hours of psychology courses with a minimum grade point average of 3.0 in those courses.

  2. Graduate Students shall be enrolled in Seattle University and shall have a minimum grade point average of 3.0 on a 4.0 scale in all graduate courses, including psychology.
