The first of its kind in the world, the Certificate in Sport Sustainability Leadership addresses the global concern for increased environmental and ecological sustainability in the sport industry.
We empower students as leaders to establish and enhance the sustainability practices of sport organizations, leagues, and federations.
The 15-credit, 100% online certificate can be completed in 9 months from anywhere in the world, and it is open to anyone who has completed at least a bachelor’s degree.
Five courses will teach you to identify a sustainability problem, investigate the situation, gather relevant information, analyze data, propose a sustainable solution, and work with all relevant stakeholders.
Our students are also required to take the U.S. Green Building Council LEED Associate certification exam. LEED, Leadership in Energy & Environmental Design, is a green building certification program that recognizes best-in-class building strategies and practices. Our graduates are well-positioned for leadership roles in the sustainable sport industry movement.
“Sports have the power to not only set an example of sustainable operations for businesses and events across the globe, but to inspire and motivate billions of people to take action on behalf of our planet and all humanity.”David Muller Former membership Director for Green Sports Alliance
