Janet served as Chair of the Mathematics Department for 15 years and was the first woman to attained the rank of Full Professor in the department. She lives in West Seattle and attends most of the home games for the SU women's basketball team. Janet has a dog named Kira that she enjoys walking in Lincoln Park.
Janet E. Mills Award for Undergraduate Research in Mathematics
Given annually to the graduating mathematics major who has demonstrated inquisitiveness and intellectual independence in the pursuit of mathematical knowledge. Named to honor Dr. Mills who served Seattle University so ably for 25 years.
