Gifts to the Annual Scholarship Fund provide the university with the resources needed to maintain our promise of making a college education a reality for many deserving students. The ability to offer generous financial aid packages helps Seattle University attract the kind of students we are known for—students who are capable and committed to making a difference in their professions and communities.

More than 80% of current SU students receive financial aid to help fund their education.

Seattle University also offers a unique opportunity to individuals who would like to establish a named annual scholarship. By making a commitment of $2,500 or more each year for five years or more, you can establish a “named” annual scholarship. If you would like to speak with someone about setting up a named annual scholarship, please call the Office of Annual Giving at 206-296-6301.

Athletics Programs

horizontal rule

Seattle University athletics are an important part of our commitment to educating the whole person, to professional formation and to empowering leaders for a just and humane world. Athletics are also a big part of students’ overall "Redhawk Experience" at SU! Our recent move back to Division I competition is intended to create a better athletic experience for our student-athletes. The move signaled a return to the big leagues of intercollegiate play and elevates the caliber of our athletics to match that of our academics.

The transition from Division II to Division I—the highest level in NCAA competition—applies to all sports, from basketball and softball to track and field, tennis and volleyball. In returning to Division I, Seattle University is committed to providing an exciting, spirited source of campus pride for our students, alumni and the community--as well as a competitive and well-balanced environment for our student-athletes.

There are many ways for you to show your support for our 320 student-athletes on our 20 Men's & Women's Athletic teams:

This tool helps the university maintain a competitive edge in attracting and retaining students and faculty and enables our schools, colleges and programs to grow and innovate in perpetuity.

Whatever your interest, there is an area at Seattle University that will benefit from an endowment.

If you choose to establish a named endowed fund to benefit SU, it may be designated for scholarships, program or activity support, or faculty professorship and chair positions. University Advancement staff will work with you to establish fund guidelines and to discuss the most beneficial and tax-wise giving strategies. Endowed funds can be established and named with the amounts below.

Gifts of $50K or more may establish an endowment.

* Minimum may be higher depending on college and school salary and funding levels.
