Biography

Daniel is a Nationally Certified Counselor and is a licensed Mental Health Counselor in WA state. He holds a Master’s of Arts in Education from Seattle University in Community Counseling and BA in Humanities from Seattle University. He has been teaching in the Counseling Programs at Seattle University since 2018 and served as clinical faculty in the 2019-2020 Academic Year. He has served in leadership roles including President-Elect, President, and Past-President in the Washington Career Development Association and remains an active member of the American Counseling Association with membership also in the sub-divisions;  Association for Specialists in Group Work and Counselors for Social Justice.Currently, Daniel owns, operates, and practices in his private practice, dkp counseling, PLLC, where he provides individual and relational therapy to clients. Daniel is a Certified Gestalt Therapist and Core Faculty and in the Gestalt Associates Training Seattle program, an ongoing post-doctoral contemporary Gestalt therapy training experience for psychotherapists, counselors, social workers, and psychologists. He facilitates trainings in Gestalt therapy throughout the region.
