I am a historian of late imperial China, focusing on cartography, technology, and Chinese nationalism.
Biography
I am a historian of late imperial China, focusing on cartography, technology, and Chinese nationalism. I am currently revising my doctoral dissertation into a book manuscript that examines a cartographer family who pioneered the commercialization of maps in the late nineteenth century, exploring their profound influence on the conceptualization of the Chinese nation.
Alongside my academic research, I am committed to public history. Since the summer of 2022, I have produced 歷史衛視 History Channel, a YouTube channel dedicated to historical documentaries. By utilizing animation technologies, the channel aims to make Chinese history accessible and engaging for a wider public audience.
