Stephen brings ten plus years of professional experience as an Academic Advisor, Program Manager and Student Services Specialist in academia. Prior to Seattle University, Stephen was an Academic Advisor at UC Berkeley, University of Washington, University Prep and Edmonds Community College. He attended the University of California, Berkeley where he earned both his BA and MA degrees. At UC Berkeley, Stephen was also a student-athlete on the Men’s Basketball team, which led to a ten-year professional career in Europe. Upon retiring from professional basketball, he eventually went on to earn his graduate degree in Education and began a new career in Academic Advising. Stephen brings a wealth of global and cultural knowledge from living in seven different countries over three continents. Drawing from his experiences, he looks to enhance the overall student experience by building impactful relationships, helping students make informed academic choices and supporting their experiences. Stephen was born in Paris, but grew up primarily on the east coast with dual-citizenship. During his spare time, he enjoys collecting vinyl records, traveling, exercising and pulling espresso shots.
