Biography

Cristine Agresta is an Assistant Professor in the Department of Rehabilitation Medicine at the University of Washington. She has a BS in Movement Science from the University of Michigan, a Master’s degree in Physical Therapy from Youngstown State University, a PhD in Movement Science from Temple University, and completed a postdoctoral fellowship in Kinesiology at the University of Michigan. Dr. Agresta focuses on research related to human performance, particularly in sport. She is interested in identifying factors that influence movement behavior and alter physical resilience, durability, potential, and player experience. Her research utilizes wearable sensors and out-of-lab technology to capture real-world or on-field data. She aims to advance assessment and monitoring methods that lead to more precise and informed decisions regarding injury susceptibility, readiness, and return-to-sport. Outside of work she likes to spend time with family and friends, be outdoors, travel, and do yoga.
