Recognizing Great Leaders of Today - Inspiring Great Leaders of Tomorrow

Not all Leaders are Red Winged Leaders
Red Winged Leaders are great leaders that make a social impact—that is, they enhance the quality of life for others, maintain a view for sustainability, and produce long-lasting benefits for the greater good of the community. As leaders, they inspire, empower, and create purpose for others, and, as Red Winged Leaders, they support, improve, and give back to the community. Red Winged Leaders are selflessly motivated to accomplish great things for reasons beyond themselves.
Sometimes the best leaders are the hardest to identify, but like the red-winged blackbird with red markings under its wings, the markings of these types of leaders are often subtle. Yet, once you know what to look for, it is hard to miss.
Red Winged Leadership Award
The Graduate Leadership Formation Specialization (GLFS) is a select group of MBA students, whose goal is to find and recognize leaders that embody the unique intersection where leadership, business acumen, and social impact overlap. Through this recognition, the GLFS cohort hopes to bring awareness to Albers students and faculty, Seattle University, and the greater business community the difference that Red Winged Leadership can make.
