Seattle University Among Best Colleges in Princeton Review Annual List

August 24, 2023

Seattle University has been included in the guide for 21 consecutive years.

Seattle University has been named to The Princeton Review’s Best 389 Colleges for 2024 and is notable for its academic excellence, its creative, smart and diverse student body and location in the heart of Seattle.

The Princeton Review’s list is based on a 165,000-student survey. Here’s more on the findings:

  • Seattle University is “renowned for its excellent academics and programs, particularly its nursing program, and its Jesuit philosophy of holistic education underscores the mission of the university.”
  • Calls Seattle University students creative, insightful and dedicated to making their educational experience unique and personal and considers community strongly felt among students and faculty.
  • Notes that Seattle University is a place where all faiths are not only accepted but also encouraged and welcomed and that campus life is urban but the mountains are close: “Here you have the best of both worlds. You can go to happy hours, brunch, clubs, bars and restaurants, hiking, skiing, canoeing and swimming in the summer. There is a lot to do in the area. … Living in the heart of Seattle means that you can never run out of fun things to do on weekends.”

The Princeton Review does not rank schools overall 1-389. This list appears in alphabetical order. Schools marked "featured" have paid for that designation but not for their inclusion in The Best 389 Colleges.
