Here is an excerpt from President Peñalver: Eduardo Peñalver on the power of diversity in higher education to shape society: “I think that there’s a broader impact of diversity that extends well beyond the elite schools: Universities are generally the most diverse residential communities in the United States. We’re profoundly segregated by class and race—until you get to college.
