Congratulations to Seattle University Dance Marathon (SUDM) for raising more than $70,000 last weekend to benefit Seattle Children’s Hospital’s Strong Against Cancer Research Initiative and Uncompensated Care Fund.
Through the Uncompensated Care Fund, SUDM provides free lifesaving health care to patients at Seattle Children's who otherwise would not be able to afford care. A student-led organization in its 12th year, SUDM believes “that no family with a sick child should ever have to worry about anything but their child’s wellness, regardless of their ability to afford medical care.”
This year, SU joined forces with students from the University of Washington for the 16-hour marathon, which was held in Campion Ballroom after UW’s own event was canceled due to snow the previous weekend.
