The Connolly Complex featuring the William F. Eisiminger Fitness Center is one of the most complete athletic facilities in the Seattle Metro Area, featuring over 180,000 sq. ft. of recreational, fitness and athletic space.
It is the goal of Seattle University to develop the whole person, and the Connolly Complex and Eisiminger Fitness Center provide a healthful and pleasurable opportunity for physical, emotional, and social participation in sports and recreation.

The Mind/Body Studio is located on the second floor of the Eisiminger Fitness Center and is a semi-private stretching and functional training space. The room is equipped with mats, medicine balls, stability balls, Precor Stretch Trainers and dumbbells. As this was previously a yoga studio, it also has adjustable lighting, window and mirror screens, a ceiling fan and Sirius XM satellite radio.
Located on the second floor of the Eisiminger Fitness Center, the Group Fitness Studio is the primary space for all Spinning, Zumba, Yoga and Group Fitness Classes. When classes are not in session, patrons are welcome to use the space for jumping rope, stretching, or other functional training.
The Strength Floor is comprised of Paramount SP Selectorized equipment, Hammer Strength plate loaded machines, free weights, functional equipment, as well as Olympic Lifting bars, bumper plates and platforms.
The second floor of the Fitness Center boasts a variety of cardiovascular and strength equipment, overlooking First Hill and Championship Field. Your workout can will fly by as you watch television on any of our six flat screen monitors or on their own Personal Viewing Screens on any Precor P80 machine. Hammer Strength bodyweight strength equipment, Iron Grip dumbbells and Life Fitness Cable Towers line the Cardio Floor as well.
The North Court is located on the second floor and has one NCAA regulation size basketball court and is the home for our Varsity Women's Basketball team. With a drop-down divider, the court can be separated into two NCAA regulation size courts. This space is primarily used for Athletics, but can be used for our informal recreation, intramurals, and sport clubs.
The South Court is located on the first floor and has one full size NCAA court. With a drop-down divider the court can be separated into two recreational size courts. This space is primarily used for our informal recreation, intramural sports, and sport clubs.
The Astro Gym is located on the first floor and is one of only a few multipurpose indoor turf gyms in the metro area. The gym can be utilized for soccer, baseball, tennis, etc…the gym also has two batting cages utilized by our Varsity Baseball and Softball teams.
These pools are located on the second floor of the facility. The East Pool is the primary pool for our Varsity Swim team, but is also our multipurpose pool. It can be utilized for activities such as underwater hockey, water polo, and lap swim. The West pool is our recreational pool and is primarily used as a leisure pool for lap swim. Each pool is six lanes wide by 25 yards in length. The East Pool ranges in depth from 4 feet to 12 feet and features starting blocks, while the West Pool is consistently 4 feet in depth.
There are two Racquetball Courts and one squash court, which may be used for their intended sports or other recreational activities. These spaces can be reserved for individual usage by Seattle University Recreation members. To do so, contact the Guest Services Desk.
Located on the
Racquetball Mezzanine on the first floor of the Connolly Complex, the MAT Room
houses all Martial Art and Boxing activities. To ensure the health and safety
of all users, please remove shoes prior to entering the room.
Logan softball field is located on 12th and Jefferson and is the home of our Varsity Softball Team. The field is also used for our intramural sports programs.
The newly renovated SU Park is a turf field with lighting for nighttime hours and is located on 12th and James. It is utilized for our various intramural sports and sport clubs, but is also open for informal usage. SU Park has a jogging track surrounding it, which is open to the community.
The outdoor tennis courts are located at 14th and Cherry Street adjacent to the Connolly Complex. Four courts are available, and they may be lit in the evening during William F. Eisiminger Fitness Center / Connolly Complex operational hours. To request the lights be turned on, please visit the Guest Service Desk at the William F. Eisiminger Fitness Center. These courts can be reserved for individual usage by Seattle University Recreation members. To do so, contact the Guest Service Desk.
