Assistance for Graduate Nursing
Seattle University College of Nursing offers these opportunities for financial assistance to students enrolled in the MSN program:
Teaching Assistantships. Professional nurses enrolled in the MSN program are eligible for partial tuition assistance and part-time employment teaching in the College of Nursing undergraduate nursing program.
Advanced Practice Nursing Immersion Scholarships. Scholarships of up to $5000 are available for immersion students with demonstrated financial need.*
Advanced Education Nurse Traineeships. Awards from the federal government that can be applied to tuition, fees, and books. Available to RNs students (APNI-RNs or traditional RNs in the last 12 months of the program). Preference is given to students who commit to work in an underserved area and/or with a vulnerable population upon graduation.
Diversity Scholarships. Seattle University offers scholarships of up to $6000 per year for students from under-represented ethnic groups in nursing. A limited amount of funding is available for men of any ethnic background. Renewable for a second year.*
Graduate Nursing Scholarships. Awarded by the University to newly-enrolled students who demonstrate financial need.*
Stafford Loans. Low-interest federal loans for graduate study.
ROTC Scholarships. Support for tuition, books, and living expenses is available through the Army Reserve Officer Training Corps for graduate students who will complete the program of study before their 31st birthday.
*Contingent on maintenance of good academic standing.
