  • Welcome from the Director

On behalf of our faculty and staff, I would like to welcome you to the Sport and Exercise Science Program at Seattle University! I would like to share with you some of the aspects of our program that I think make it unique.

Our program goals are rooted in Seattle University's Jesuit traditions. Namely, we are committed to the creation of a learning environment that fosters self-reflection, an appreciation for life-long learning with an emphasis on critical thinking and professionalism.  Specifically, we strive to deliver a rigorous and practical academic experience that provides the opportunity for you to develop the skills necessary to become a leader in fields of sport and exercise science. This accomplished by combining small classes and personal attention with access to state-of-the-art laboratory equipment and opportunities to put into practice the concepts learned in the classroom.

I encourage you to explore our website to learn more about our academic program, students, faculty and facilities. Furthermore, please do not hesitate to contact me if you would like additional information or have questions about our program.

    Best Regards,
    Eric L. Dugan, Ph.D.
