Dr. Burt Hopkins is Professor of Philosophy at Seattle University. Receiving his Ph.D. in 1988 from DePaul University, he joined Seattle University in 1990. Dr. Hopkins specializes in twentieth century European philosophy, Husserl, Heidegger, Jacob Klein, Early Modern philosophy, Plato, and Philosophy and Depth Psychology. He has taught courses on ancient Greek philosophy, modern philosophy, phenomenology, Heidegger, philosophy and literature and philosophy and psychology. Dr. Hopkins is a founding co-editor of the New Yearbook for Phenomenology and Phenomenological Philosophy and Secretary of the Husserl Circle.
