Fine Arts 0708

This year we look out. We work at the edge. We encourage the evolution of the arts by challenging ourselves as students and educators, artists and audiences, to look beyond “how it is now” and imagine “how it could be.”

We pool resources and artistry, inspire mutual growth, and rouse new audiences with three dynamic residencies: Strawberry Theatre Workshop, The Young Eight string octet, and Maureen Whiting Dance.

We explore the power and place of art with meaningful cultural conversations: conferences that imagine the future of classical music and new play development; ArtTalks that contemplate the artist’s path.

We are energized by all that is new: the innovative classical string program, the BFA in photography, the MFA in arts leadership, and a tripling of visual art exhibits in the Hedreen and Kinsey Galleries.

We look out. We troll for discoveries. We work at the edge. Join us.
