David W. Arnesen has received numerous awards for teaching excellence. In 2007 he received the University Distinguished Teaching Award from the Seattle University Alumni Association. He has been named MBA Professor of the Year 7 times and Undergraduate Business Professor of the Year 5 times. Professor Arnesen is the former chair of the Department of Management and acting dean of the Albers School (2000-01). His research includes publications in the American Business Law Journal, the Journal of Legal Studies Education, the Academy of Management Executive, the Journal of the Academy of Marketing Science, the Journal of Organizational Culture, Communications & Conflict, Tourism Analysis, and Academy of Health Care Management Journal. His teaching expertise includes negotiations, business ethics, competitive strategy, international business and real estate. Professor Arnesen regularly teaches internationally in the areas of negotiations and business ethics.
