Alexandra Romanyshyn, PhD

Alexandra Romanyshyn joined the faculty at Seattle University in 2022. Previously, she obtained her Ph.D. in Philosophy at Saint Louis University in 2021. She adopts an interdisciplinary approach to philosophy, focusing on the nature of the self as informed by contemporary research in psychology and psychiatry. Her work addresses topics including trauma and the narrative self, disability and identity, and feminist ethics. Additionally, she enjoys teaching courses in ancient and medieval philosophy, as well as contemporary bioethics.
