Common Application

Transfer & Post-Baccalaureate applicants should submit the following:

  • Common Application for transfer admission with Seattle University Member Supplement. Students who have previously applied to Seattle University on January 1, 2014 or later are not required to fill out another Common Application.  Please fill out the Update Form to update your application and email an updated Personal Statement to (Nursing applicants re-applying for Fall 2017 consideration must complete a new application).
  • A $55 application fee. The fee is not required of students who will have completed an associate's degree at a Washington, Arizona, California or Oregon state community college by the time of enrollment and who are transferring directly to Seattle University. Additionally, students who have a sibling, parent, or grandparent who graduated from Seattle University are eligible for a fee waiver. Students who graduated from a Jesuit high school are also eligible for a fee waiver.
  • Official transcripts from each college, university or professional school attended. Transcripts may be mailed to:

  • Official SAT or ACT test scores and official high school transcript (or GED scores) are required of applicants who have completed fewer than 45 quarter credit hours (or 30 semester hours) of transferrable college credits.
  • Proof of English proficiency. Applicants for whom English is not the first/native language must demonstrate English proficiency regardless of English language studies, academic history, residence in the United States or other English-speaking countries or immigration status.   • Nursing, Diagnostic Ultrasound, and Post-Baccalaureate Pre-Health students who apply via the Transfer Common Application need to submit a supplemental application to complete their application which can be found on the Application page.
  • NOTE: Although the online Common Application includes School Forms (College Report, Midterm Report, Recommendations etc), Seattle University does not require these for transfer admission consideration.
