To address growing program needs and increase capacity to meet the new demands we have committed to the construction of a new Center for Science and Innovation (CSI).
Utilizing modern design, the new building will feature dynamic teaching labs that will enhance the learning experience and dedicated, multi-investigator research labs that will expand opportunities for students to perform independent research. A computer science project center provides co-working space for teams engaged in collaborative, industry-driven independent projects that are critical to professional success.
A maker space in the new building will offer all interested students the chance to explore new technology and bring their creative ideas to life. The Center for Community Engagement, located on the first floor of the new building, will allow students to collaborate on community engaged projects with our non-profit partners. Students taking required courses in the life sciences will attend classes in fully equipped biology and chemistry labs. With increased space, SU will be able accommodate three times the number of students in our STEM programs, helping SU continue to be a leader in the region’s STEM programming.
Rooted in Jesuit values. Experienced in STEM. Equipped to lead their fields.
