Obtaining a Non-LIFT ORCA Card

If you do not qualify for ORCA LIFT, you may purchase an Orca card at Public Safety during the sales session at the beginning of each academic term (quarter or semester).

Students are eligible for only one Seattle University sponsored parking or subsidized transportation product at a time. Public Safety can not provide a subsidized transportation product (LIFT subsidy, or Puget Pass, or Ferry Pass) and a term-length parking permit to the same student in the same term.

STEPS to obtaining a Non-Lift ORCA card

  1. Come into Public Safety during business hours Monday-Friday 8:30am-4:30pm during the sales sessions at the beginning of each academic term to purchase the Puget Pass or Ferry pass before the deadline.
  2. Please bring with a form of identification (SU ID card is preferred)
  3. Research the fare value you will need as the Orca cards sold are for a specific fare value for Puget Passes.  Ferry Passes are for walk on passenger for a specific ferry route
  4. Payment accepted is Visa and Mastercard.
