The Center will convene a second symposium of 13 scholars on the theme of gratitude. Scholars meet October 27-29, 2021. Human beings experience contradiction, suffering, trauma and cruelty in a time of calamity. How is gratitude to God changed through these hardships in a pandemic age? Scholars will conclude their effort with final papers at the end of November, 2021. Throughout, scholars will draw heavily on rich reserves of texts across religious traditions and spiritual pathways.
