What we purchase

Seattle University purchases a wide variety of goods and services across campus - office supplies, janitorial services, 10-passenger vans, artwork, outdoor banners, technology subscriptions, scientific equipment, and more. We are analyzing our historic spending information to understand the most common types of purchases that are made across campus, and will continue to refine our process for communicating our supplier needs.

Common Diversity Certifications

  • SAM.gov (free): Requires a DUNs number. See instructions to register your entity with SAM.gov here and video guide here
  • Small Business Administration (SBA) (free): To get certified as an 8(a) small business, simply use the certify.SBA.gov website. You’ll need to have a DUNs number and profile at SAM.gov before you can use the certification website.
  • Washington State Office of Minority & Women's Business Enterprises (OMWBE) ($50-$120): See requirements here and a video guide here

Seattle University Requirements

Seattle University currently uses self-identification to classify diverse vendors and does not require diveristy certifications. SU vendors should indicate their diversity certification(s) on the Vendor Setup Form. Interested in being a SU vendor? Let our team know about your business.
