Seattle University now offers a college-level experiential summer learning opportunity, taught by professors, all experts in their field, to high school students from the Puget Sound region and beyond. Students who are focused on expanding their world-view will truly benefit from engaging first-hand in the Seattle University academic setting.
The courses are designed for currently rising or graduated high school seniors looking to explore Seattle University while acquiring valuable university credit-hours and who have interest in popular subject areas, such as film studies, the natural environment, and web development. Just like our collegiate level coursework, the pre-collegiate experience at Seattle University is academically challenging and mission based: we focus on educating the whole person and empowering students t lead toward a just and humane world.
Our Pre-Collegiate courses may provide students with advanced standing once they enroll in a college or university. High school students who take college-level courses take them for a variety of reasons. Some of the reasons we've heard include:
Our pre-college courses can be taken as either fully residential, or non-residential for commuter students. A student must enroll in a residential course program if they do not live in the Seattle area.
