About Ashlan Runyan

Ashlan graduated from Regis Jesuit High School in Aurora, CO. She was the VP of the Future Educators Association and the lead facilitator for the Diversity Action Group, and a delegate to the Ignatian Family Teach-In in Washington, DC. As head of the Justice League she spearheaded a campaign to make her school a sweat-free campus with fair trade policies. She was a member of the National and Spanish Honor Societies. She was a Kairos retreat leader and member of Peace Jam, an organization that connects youth with Nobel Peace Prize Laureates to promote social change.

SU Experience

Ashlan is studying both English Literature and Philosophy. She’s a member of Sustainable Student Action, working primarily on divestment organizing, and currently lives in the Kolvenbach House, which is an intentional community that works towards sustainability and service. Out of the myriad things she values about the Sullivan Leadership Program, she most enjoys the community that has emerged from it which continues to both support and challenge her.
